Synopsis
Three months after Evie, Cade, and Ren stopped Frost from exposing the Custodians to the world to try to make them gods among men, the three of them are trying to adjust to a new normal that’s about to be thrown into chaos.
Halloween is a big event for Shade, and with Cade as the new figurehead, everything seems to be going smoothly until the Martellis and their allies are attacked by an unknown faction. More people might just want Cade dead.
Evie, feeling more helpless than ever, tries to cope with the horrible reality that everything she’s worked for could’ve been for nothing with the new threats on Cade’s life. Just another problem to heap onto the never-ending struggle that’s trying to give the Fallen a voice among the Custodians.
Ren, still struggling to control his talent, keeps falling into the mind of another young man who ended up at a nightmare party that just won’t end. And with every body that appears, the more fingers get pointed at the Inked in the process.
